This Code of Conduct outlines the standards we uphold in our teaching, communication, safeguarding, and community values. Our aim is to support every student’s growth, confidence, and wellbeing while they develop their screen-acting skills.
1. Professional Conduct
Respect and Integrity
All staff, tutors, and assistants at Hub Screen Acting Academy will conduct themselves with professionalism, honesty, and respect in all interactions with students, parents/guardians, and external partners.
Communication
We will maintain clear, timely, and respectful communication with parents, guardians, and students. This includes updates about classes, schedules, expectations, and any concerns relating to a student’s wellbeing or progress.
Confidentiality
All personal information about students and their families will be treated as confidential and handled in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
2. Learning Environment & Expectations
Supportive Learning
We are committed to providing a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment where students feel safe to express themselves creatively.
Clear Information
Parents/guardians will receive clear information about class content, expectations, filming activities, and any materials students may need.
Student Preparedness
We expect students to arrive on time, behave respectfully, and participate fully in class activities.
3. Safeguarding and Child Welfare
Child Protection
The safety and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority. We follow UK safeguarding legislation and ensure all staff understand their responsibilities.
Safe Learning Conditions
We ensure that all classes, workshops, and activities take place in safe, age-appropriate environments with appropriate supervision.
Health and Wellbeing
We monitor the emotional and physical wellbeing of our students. If concerns arise, we will communicate with parents/guardians and take appropriate action.
4. Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
Commitment to Diversity

5. Anti-Harassment and Bullying Policy
Zero Tolerance
Harassment, bullying, or intimidation, whether verbal, physical, emotional, or online will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Reporting Concerns
Students and parents/guardians are encouraged to report any concerns to the Academy team. All reports will be handled sensitively, confidentially, and promptly.
Support for Students
We will support any student who experiences bullying or harassment and take appropriate steps to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
6. Safeguarding Procedures
DBS Checks
All staff, tutors, and assistants who work with young people will undergo an Enhanced DBS check to ensure they are suitable to work with minors.
Supervision
Students will always be supervised during classes and activities.
Risk Assessments
We conduct risk assessments for all classes, venues, and activities to ensure they are safe and appropriate for young people.
7. Filming, Photography, and Social Media
Filming for Training Purposes: Screen acting involves regular on-camera work. Students may be filmed during classes for educational purposes such as reviewing performance, developing technique, and building confidence. These recordings are used only within Hub Screen Acting Academy unless additional consent is provided.
Parental/Guardian Consent: We will always obtain written consent before using any photos or videos of students for promotional purposes, including:
- Website content
- Social media posts
- Marketing materials
- Showreel examples No student’s image will ever be shared publicly without explicit permission.
Student Privacy: Students are not permitted to film, photograph, or record other students during class. This protects everyone’s privacy and ensures a safe learning environment.
Responsible Social Media Use: We encourage positive, age-appropriate use of social media. To protect students:
- Staff will never contact students via personal social media accounts.
- Staff will not share images or videos of students on personal platforms.
- Students should not post footage from classes without Hub Screen Acting Academy approval.
- Any online bullying, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour will be treated seriously and addressed immediately.
Online Safety: When sharing content (with consent), we ensure that:
- No personal contact details are visible
- Students are presented respectfully and appropriately
- Content is age-appropriate and safe for public viewing
Our priority is to protect the wellbeing, dignity, and digital safety of every young person who trains with us.
8. Complaints Procedure
Raising Concerns
If a parent/guardian or student has concerns about any aspect of their experience at the Hub Screen Acting Academy, they are encouraged to contact us directly. All concerns will be taken seriously.
Resolution
We aim to resolve issues quickly and fairly through open communication. If necessary, a formal review or mediation process will be used.

Ongoing Learning
We provide high-quality training designed to help students develop confidence, creativity, and on-camera skills.
Professional Development
Our tutors stay up to date with industry practices, ensuring students receive relevant and current training.
10. Environmental Responsibility
Sustainability

Where possible, we use digital materials to minimise paper use and support eco-friendly learning.
Inclusion and Harassment Policy Summary
Zero Tolerance for Discrimination: We strictly prohibit discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or any other protected characteristic.
Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Any form of harassment, verbal, physical, emotional, or online will not be tolerated.
Support Systems: We provide a safe, confidential way for students and parents/guardians to report concerns, with guaranteed follow-up actions to protect and support the young person.
